The material is a metallurgical bonding material that combines copper and aluminum into one material. It has copper's excellent conductivity along with aluminum's light weight and lower cost. So it's a great way to cut down both the part weight and material expenses. You can see these in new energy vehicles, energy storage stations, and consumer electronics like phones and laptops – basically any industry where both conductivity and light weighting are very important.

In manufacturing, these parts are precision-stamped; the difficulty is dealing with the bonding interface between the two metals – copper and aluminum have different strength and ductility characteristics. So we need to make sure the joint doesn't delaminate or crack during bending, punching, or other operations. We must use a good copper-aluminum composite material to avoid delamination or cracking. After stamping, we have to keep tight control over dimensional accuracy and surface finish to make sure the parts fit properly and meet conductivity requirements down the line.
